Ram 2500
The Ram 2500 is a step up from the base level Ram 1500 and is the initial offering in the Ram Heavy Duty lineup. It features a high-strength steel frame that incorporates lightweight aluminum that reduces the overall weight of the truck without sacrificing any of its power.

Underneath the hood, the Ram 2500 comes equipped with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 that uses variable-cam timing. This engine manages to produce 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. It also allows the truck to achieve a maximum payload capacity of 6,600 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 17,130 pounds.
As if that weren't enough, you have the option to upgrade to an available turbo-diesel engine. The optional 6.7-liter Cummins I6 engine produces a total power output of 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque. The maximum payload checks in at 5,730 pounds, while the towing capacity improves greatly to 21,560 pounds.
Trim Levels
The Ram 2500 comes in six different trim levels, with each one offering an increasing number of standard features. The base level Tradesman model features work grade vinyl seats, a Keyless Enter 'n Go system, and active grille shutters that dynamically regulate engine temperature. Meanwhile, the high-level Limited trim level includes everything on the previous trims but adds an exclusive grille design, genuine leather upholstery with real wood accents, and a 12-inch touchscreen.

Ram 3500
The Ram 3500 is the pinnacle of what a Ram truck can be. It is the most powerful truck money can buy, so if you need a truck that can only be matched by your unbridled ambition, this is it.

Under the hood of the Ram 3500, you get the same 6.4-liter Hemi V8 that the Ram 2500 does, as well as the available 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel I6. Where the Ram 3500 deviates is that it gets a third engine option, one that pushes the boundaries of what a full-size pickup can do.
That engine is a 6.7-liter High Output Cummins Turbo Diesel I6 engine, and it produces 400 horsepower alongside a best-in-class 1,000 pound-foot of diesel torque. Its maximum payload of 7,680 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 35,100 pounds are also both best-in-class.
Trim Levels
The Ram 3500 comes in five different trim levels. Of the trim levels, the Laramie Longhorn Edition stands out for multiple reasons. It is headlined by the most luxurious interior in its class that comes with an exclusive 100 percent leather seating. Alligator embossed accents line the cabin, and the overall interior aesthetic is fashioned to look like a barn. Open-pore barnwood and brushed aluminum material fuse to create a true one-of-a-kind look.
