  • Gladiator Sport: The base Gladiator model doesn't skimp on features and performance. It comes standard with four-wheel drive, the 3.6-liter V8, and removable doors and top.
  • Gladiator Sport S: This package adds a few extra features onto the base model, including available Uconnect infotainment, 17-inch wheels, and more.
  • Gladiator Overland: Creature comforts are abundant in the Gladiator Overland. Leather seats, Apple CarPlay, and more are all standard.

2020 Jeep Gladiator Design in Providence

Design

The new Gladiator has clearly been designed for sturdy, robust capability. Using a body-on-frame design, the Gladiator is prepared for the toughest challenges. Its boxed steel ladder frame is strong, durable, and designed to stand the test of time. The Gladiator is the only new midsize truck on the market that offers a solid axle both at the front and back.

As of now, the Gladiator is available only in one configuration. Every new truck comes with four doors and a five-foot long bed. According to Jeep, this is the configuration that the vast majority of midsize truck drivers prefer.

When it comes to looks, it's clear that Jeep took inspiration from the Wrangler. Jeep enthusiasts have been clamoring for a truck version of the lauded off-roader for years, after all. The Renegade gets the famous circular headlamps, seven-slot grille, and squared-off body panels. You can even remove it's top and doors -- just like a Wrangler.

Performance

The new Gladiator comes right off of the production line with impressive power and capability. That's due to its standard powerplant -- the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. You won't have to move up in trim level to get a more powerful engine. Instead, every Gladiator comes with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. That translates to a towing capacity of up to 7,650 pounds.

Every new Gladiator also comes with standard four-wheel drive. All but the Rubicon model come with Command-Trac Part-time 4WD. The Rubicon gets an upgrade to the Rock-Trac Heavy-Duty Part-Time 4WD system, along with standard features like larger all-terrain tires, tow hooks, locking differentials, and more.

Technology

Several available technology features can make the new Gladiator even more enjoyable.

  • Uconnect Infotainment
  • Apple CarPlay
  • Android Auto
  • Voice Command
  • Front Facing Trail Camera

The Gladiator also offers several active safety features as optional add-ons.

  • Blind Spot Monitoring
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking
  • Rear Cross Path Detection
