Fog lights are added as a standard feature beginning with the second trim level, with some interior upgrades, including a leather steering wheel and a keyless entry and ignition system. Performance Features
The new Jeep Compass has plenty of power under its hood and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in less than nine seconds. The same engine powers the Jeep Compass: a 2.0-liter turboengine with four cylinders. This engine produces 200 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard. Warwick drivers who like to go off-roading will appreciate that the Jeep Compass has four-wheel drive and a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds.
Technology Features
There's an infotainment system on all trim levels, which can be operated with physical controls and voice commands. The Jeep Compass has a standard sizeable 10.1-inch touchscreen display and wireless connectivity to support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Various technological features, including a larger 10.3-inch digital instrument display and a navigation system, are available as add-on items. Rhode Island shoppers can also get an Alpine sound system for most trim levels as a stereo upgrade.
Interior and Exterior Features
All trim levels of the Jeep Compass seat five people. Despite its small size, the Jeep has a roomy interior, and the cargo area also has plenty of capacity for stowing your belongings. Seating material varies by trim level, and Cranston drivers will get unique features such as accent stitching with some trim levels. For subcompact SUVs, the Jeep Compass has a taller ride height than its peers, making it easier to get into and out of. Headroom and legroom are both abundant, including in the second row.
Outside, the Jeep Compass starts with 17-inch wheels on the base model, but larger 18-inch wheels are included, beginning with the Latitude Lux. The Limited trim has a black roof and a windshield wiper de-icer system. The Trailhawk trim level also has a black roof, all-terrain tires, and a raised suspension system. LED fog lights, automatic wipers, and 19-inch wheels are available.
Trim Levels
- Jeep Compass Sport: This base trim level has cloth seats, alloy wheels, and advanced safety aids.
- Jeep Compass Latitude: This trim level adds standard fog lights and synthetic leather interior inserts.
- Jeep Compass Latitude Lux: This trim level has a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and leather upholstery.
- Jeep Compass Limited: This trim level has a two-tone color scheme, ambient interior lights, dual-zone climate control, and more safety features.
- Jeep Compass Trailhawk: This trim level has a raised suspension and low-range gearing.
Custom Options
Many options for Providence shoppers who want to customize their Jeep Compass include several safety packages and an Elite Group package for the Limited and Trailhawk with larger wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, premium leather upholstery, and climate-controlled seats.
