Good food is a delicious part of the holidays, so when you're traveling with it, you want to make sure it safely gets to where it needs to go. When you're running from one place to another, it's tempting to quickly throw everything in the car, rush off, and hope for the best, but that's when mistakes can happen. Try this food pre-travel checklist before you go:
- Check that the lids are secure. Strapping the containers in tightly isn't going to do much good if the tops fall off in the middle of the car ride.
- Make sure you have all the food. With rushing may come forgetting a food or two, especially if you're transporting several items. Write down all the food you need to bring so you can check off each item as you put it in the car.
- Double check that the containers are positioned well. You don't want them anywhere they can tip over, move easily, make a mess all over the car, or get squished.
