The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is making its way to showrooms across the country. But, the future of minivans won't stop there. In fact, "FCA and Google announced a deal this week to co-develop autonomous car technology," reports the staff at Auto Blog. "Now both teams will send engineers to southeast Michigan where they will work on the technology together. The deal appears to be a win-win for both sides. Google gets about 100 Chrysler Pacifica minivans. FCA gets access to Google's technology for self-driving cars, which the tech giant has been working on for years. This move immediately positions FCA to be potentially among the leaders in self-driving cars."

We won't see the self-driving Pacifica's on the market for a few years, but both sides are expected to benefit from this partnership greatly. If you're interested in the latest Pacifica, explore our new inventory, or come visit us for a test drive. We're located at 425 Ten Rod Rd (Rte 102) North Kingstown, RI 02852
