A brand known for its adventurous character brought a slice of cultural flavor to the Beijing Motor Show this month. How did the Jeep brand excite the crowd this time?
The trick was to bring four concept vehicles that would offer something exclusive to the host region. For a taste of the show, we provided a few design points found in two of the concepts based on the Jeep Cherokee:
Sageland and Urbane Design Concepts
- Sageland inspired by Shangri-La region, particularly historical landmarks and natural landscape
- Sageland: Ivory tri-color Pearl coat for the exterior with bronze detailing on various pieces such as the grille collars, front and rear fascias, and exhaust tips
- Sageland: interior consists of earth-ton colors and grey Nappa leather seats
- Urbane inspired by city nightlife
- Urbane: Maximum Steel metallic exterior with Hyper Black accents throughout
- Urbane: interior references Chinese calligraphy with brush stroke patterns in door applique, dark red Nappa leather, floor mats inspired by traditional Chinese windows
Now, for a look:
The other two were the Zi You Xia, a design based on the 2015 Jeep Renegade and the Jeep Wrangler Sundancer.
