We've got some good news for all the Dodge Avenger, Grand Caravan, and Jeep Wrangler fans out there. Recently we got word that Dodge was planning on ending production on the Avenger and Grand Caravan in favor of on-coming replacements, and axing the Wrangler in 2016. Now, we're hearing that the lifespans of all three of these models are being extended.

What's the reason for this? Quality assurance. With a replacement due for the Chrysler 200 on the horizon, the Avenger is being kept so that Chrysler can focus more on the upcoming model. The Wrangler, which was due to have a new variant in 2016, is sticking around to 2018 at least, with a refresh due with the 2014 iteration. From what we've heard, this new Wrangler is going to be something pretty special.

So what about the Dodge Grand Caravan? The plan at the moment entails the minivan to stay in production until 2017, when both it and the Chrysler Town & Country will be replaced by an all-new vehicle. This falls into the same vein as previous reports that suggested a Town & Country, or Town & Country replacement would be the Chrysler group's only minivan.

Although we love hearing about how our preferred automaker plans to keep their lineup fresh, we're glad to see these vehicles sticking around for a while longer. The Avenger is a wonderful car for those of you who like an extra dosage of performance and power with their sedan, and the Grand Caravan is perfect for the summer road trip. And what can we say about the Wrangler? Year over year, it's proven impossible not to love.

But there's always been a lot to love in the new Chrysler lineup. Curious to learn more? Stop by Paul Bailey's Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, located in North Kingstown, RI, and also proudly serving Providence, Cranston, and Warwick, and set up a test drive!
